quizOS

Privacy Policy

Last updated 31 August 2026

quizOS is made by Kode Foundry. This policy explains what the app collects, why, where it goes, and how to get rid of it. Plain language, no lawyer-speak where it can be avoided.

What you give us

Your account

An email address and a display name, held by Firebase Authentication. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive whatever that provider passes on , typically a name and an email, which may be a private relay address.

Your learning material

The files, links and photographs you add to a course. This is the sensitive part: it may be a work manual, a case file, or your own study notes. It is stored in Firebase Cloud Storage under a path only your account can read, and it is never shown to another user.

Your progress

Which lessons you finished, how you answered quiz questions, your XP, streak, mastery scores and achievements.

How your material is processed

To build a course, our backend extracts the text from what you added, then sends that text to an AI provider to design the curriculum and write the lessons. Today that provider is Anthropic. The extracted text and the generated course are stored in your account so the app works offline.

We do not use your material to train any model, and our AI provider is engaged under terms that prohibit training on our API traffic.

Photographs and scans are transcribed by the same provider's vision capability so their text can be taught.

Web pages and dashboards

When you paste a link, quizOS fetches that page the way a browser would, identifies itself honestly, and obeys the site's robots.txt. It does not sign in on your behalf, and it does not get past a paywall or any other access control.

Analytics and diagnostics

Firebase Analytics records what kind of thing happened, a lesson started, a quiz completed, never the content of your material or your answers. Firebase Crashlytics records crash diagnostics. Both can be turned off in your device's settings, and neither is used for advertising.

Who else sees it

Nobody else has access to your material. It is processed by Google Firebase (hosting, storage, authentication, functions) and by our AI provider, both acting on our instructions. We do not sell data and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it. Deleting a course removes its lessons, quizzes, progress and uploaded files. Deleting your account removes everything.

Deleting your account

Profile then Settings then Delete account, inside the app. It removes your courses, your uploaded material, your progress and your sign-in, permanently and without contacting us.

Children

quizOS is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data. The app's delete function covers erasure; for anything else, email hello@kodefoundry.com.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
